Licence Professional Ltd. was originally formed under the name of PreoHungary Ltd. in May 2009 but went through
a transformation in the very same year resulting in a new ownership structure and an expanded network of partners, thus
breaking away from the exclusive relation with Preo AG Hamburg. LicencePro aims at making licence remarketing – as an
alternative supply resource and buying market – accessible and ‘a common practice’ for Hungarian businesses.
Its scope of activities includes much more than buying up out-of-use software licences and remarketing used software
at a considerably lower price compared to that of new software. Giving objective advice to its clients concerning
cost-effective licence mapping is also a key target of the firm since most Hungarian companies (resulting from a lack
of secondary software market) have not had the opportunity to consider selling and buying used softwares so far.
LicencePro handles several thousand software licences.
